My Journey Timeline
From burned out Healthcare Employee to 6 figure Freelancer
Made multiple attempts on my life due to chronic illness and ended up hospitalized. Asked for flexibility from my employer and when they suggested I "close my door" on bad days, I dipped.
2020
2019
Fighting chronic illness while balancing multiple departments at work, I began "side hustling" on Upwork. I quit Upwork just a couple months later out of frustration and thinking it was not a viable option to replace my full-time income.
2023
Spent 3 years healing (and enjoying some well-deserved time off) while chasing every possible passive income promise that came across my FYP. Returned to Upwork in September when my husband lost his job unexpectedly after 25 years and my Dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer.
As my Upwork sales copywriting business took off, I retired my husband, rented the house, bought an RV and we became full-time digital nomads. As business ramped up, referrals came pouring in and I moved my business off-platform - working with coaches. creatives and service providers as an online business architect.
2024
I reduced my client roster to just 3 coaches (bills still gonna bill) to make space to build Freelance with Erica, launching the free community at the end of April 2025 and the $9 support community in June of 2025.

01. Professional Dog Chaser
I'm the wild-eyed woman you've seen sprinting down highways in inappropriate footwear to rescue dogs—my current "small" rescue Elwood was supposed to be 20 pounds max but clocks in at a solid 45.
02. Introvert in Disguise
INTJ reporting for duty! Despite appearing on video and teaching thousands of people, I'm actually an aggressive introvert who considers "accidentally answered a phone call" a traumatic event.
03. Broadway Fangirl
My best friend and I have a 25-year tradition of traveling to see Broadway shows, which has resulted in both impressive Playbill collection and embarrassing amounts of show tune karaoke.
