FREELANCE with ERICA custom proposal report
Your service. Your clients. Your personality.

Let’s figure out what will work best for YOU.

Good at the work. Stuck on the words.

You want the job. What do you even say?

Too much about me? Not enough about me? Why does this sound like I’m applying to be president?

You find a job you’d love to do. You know how you’d help. You open the cover letter section and suddenly explaining what you do is the hardest part of the whole thing.

You write a sentence. Delete it. Put it back. Start wondering whether you should mention that project you did, how much detail is too much, and whether the opening sounds like you at all.

Let me help with that. I’ll figure out how to present your work to the people you want to hire you, then create custom templates that give you a solid foundation to start from.

You’ll have two versions to work from, options for your opening, and notes on what to change for each job. You can spend more of your time finding work you want and less of it negotiating with the blinking cursor.

Here’s what you’re getting

Your custom proposal templates.

We’ll focus on one service and the type of client you want to reach. I’ll write both versions around what I think will work best for that combination.

01Your short proposal

Get to the good stuff.

A shorter version that helps the client see how you can help and gives them an easy way to start talking with you.

You’ll also get 3 short opening hooks, about a sentence each, with different ways to get that conversation started.

02Your long proposal

When there’s more to say.

A longer version with room to explain your approach, bring in useful experience, and answer the questions a client might have before hiring you.

Plus 3 longer opening hooks, a few sentences each, that speak to what your client is dealing with or hoping to achieve.

You get to sound like you.

Want me to match your usual writing? Happy to. Want to be a little more playful, confident, or direct? We can do that too. Just tell me.

You’ll know how to use them.

I’ll explain which opening fits which situation and what to personalize when you find a job you want to apply for.

We can fine-tune the copy.

You get one focused round of revisions within the original brief. If you want the tone or wording adjusted, we have room to do that.

Before I start writing

Tell me about YOUR business.

Your industry, your ideal client, the service you’re offering, and the way you want to show up all matter here.

I’ll look through what you send me, do research, and use my sales copywriting and direct-response experience to decide how to make the strongest case for your work.

That includes what to lead with, which parts of your experience deserve attention, what the client might be unsure about, and how to invite them to take the next step.

Your industry + service

What do you want to get hired to do?

Your ideal client

Who needs it? What do they care about?

Your experience

What can we show them that helps them choose you?

Your personality

What sounds like you? What absolutely does not?

My research + copywriting experience

I’ll put those pieces together and write your proposals.

Let’s pick the focus

Which service do you want to sell?

Say you’re a copywriter. You might want to write email sequences for course creators, or sales pages for coaches. Each one gives us different things to talk about in your proposal.

Choose one service and one type of client for this order. Pick the work you want this set of proposals to help you get.

You can keep using them for jobs that fit. If you decide to offer something different later, you’re welcome to come back for another set.

Hey, I’m Erica!

Let’s help clients see what you can do.

I’m an Expert-Vetted (top 1%) sales copywriter on Upwork. I write sales pages, emails, and other copy that helps people understand an offer and decide if it’s for them.

I love figuring out what’s going on in the head of the person buying. What do they want? What are they worried about? What would make them feel comfortable choosing you?

That’s the part I want to help you with, along with getting it into words that sound like you.

I also run FREELANCE with ERICA, where 732+ members are learning how to build income through freelancing. If you’d like some company while you figure this stuff out, you’re invited. 🧡

Let’s talk details.

Here are a few things you might want to know before we get started.

Ask me a question ↗
What do I get with custom proposal templates?

One short proposal, one long proposal, three opening hooks for each, and notes on using them. I’ll write them for one service and the type of client you want to reach, using your brief and my research to work out the approach.

I’m in your community. How does this fit with the training?

The training helps you learn to write your own proposals. With this service, you’re hiring me to research your industry and clients, think through the strategy for your service, and write your custom copy. Your experience and personality are part of that decision too.

Will you use the proposals I’ve already written?

Yes, please send them! They help me see how you’ve been talking about your work and how you write. I’ll also use your profile, service focus, and comments as I work on the new copy.

Can I ask for a different tone?

Absolutely. Tell me if you want to match your usual style or try something different. More humor? A little more confidence? Less formal? That’s helpful for me to know.

What if I offer several services?

Choose the one you want this set to focus on, along with the type of client you want to reach. If you want proposals for another service or audience later, you can purchase a separate set.

Can I send the same proposal to every job?

You’ll still want to make it fit the person you’re sending it to. I’ll show you what to personalize and how to choose an opening. Read the job post, use the details that matter, and follow any instructions they’ve included.

When will I get my templates?

Within 10 business days (2 weeks) after you submit your brief. You can add a rush upgrade at checkout for an additional fee. Rush delivery is within 3 business days after both your brief and rush purchase are received.

Can we make changes after I read them?

Yes. You get one focused revision round within your original brief to adjust the wording, tone, or emphasis. Switching to a different service or audience would be a separate order.

Is this included in Premium membership?

Custom proposal templates are a separate purchase for members and nonmembers. Premium includes your first profile review.

Will this guarantee I get hired?

I wish I could hand you a guaranteed-income button. I’d press it for all of us. I can help you with the strategy and copy; you still need to choose suitable jobs, personalize your proposals, and follow through. The client makes the hiring decision.
